Dear Parishioners,
Holy Family is a proud parish. Even though we are officially only 16 years old, we come from a great and proud heritage. In 1988, three fully independent parishes came together with diversified backgrounds, each with its own rich cultural and ethic distinction. This “melting pot”, as with Granite City itself, brought forth a rich harvest of hard working, loyal people, who despite their differences, learned to work together for the betterment of the Catholic Church in Granite City.
I am proud to be your pastor. I have come to know what generous and open people you are. I have watched you grow into a congregation who is proud to show others your new found enthusiasm for the Liturgy.
This directory is an indication of how alive this parish has become over its short history; all because you have been focused on the future and not dwellers of the past. You have demonstrated your ability to know that for every door God closes, he opens a new window of opportunity. You have made the most out of the window God gave you at Holy Family.
Look over the vast number of ministries that provide our people with an extensive array of choices to serve God and his Church. Keep this directory handy. It contains the names of some of the greatest people you can hope to know. By coming to church on a regular basis and joining one of these many ministries, you will better yourself personally, professionally, and most of all spiritually.
